Curriculum
6 module · 60 hour1 Workflow and Media Management 8 hour
Project structure, file naming, and backup, and why early organisation saves hours later. Formats, bit rates, frame rates, and proxy workflows on limited hardware.
2 Building Narrative from Raw Footage 10 hour
Reviewing footage and selecting takes, building the story with a rough assembly before detail work, and narrative structures for marketing, documentary, and instructional video.
3 Cutting and Pacing 12 hour
When to cut and why: cutting on action, J and L cuts, and continuity. Building pacing that holds attention, and salvaging a weak shot instead of discarding it.
4 Colour Correction and Grading 12 hour
Reading scopes instead of judging by eye, correcting exposure and white balance, matching shots filmed in different conditions, and grading to support mood.
5 Audio and Mixing 10 hour
Dialogue treatment: noise reduction, EQ, and compression. Music selection, effects layering, and levels to broadcast standards. Audio ruins a video faster than image does.
6 Titles, Export, and Delivery 8 hour
Titles, simple motion graphics, and subtitles. Export settings and aspect ratios per platform, compression without visible loss, and organising client delivery and revision rounds.
